Expression of interest for a position of post-doctoral researher

The Research Committee of the University of Patras announces the opening of one position for a post-doctoral researcher to work for the project  “Solar-powered photoactivated fuel cells producing electricity by photocatalytically consuming water wastes “(project code  2275) with Scientific Coordinator Prof. Panagiotis Lianos, Department of  Chemical  Engineering, University of Patras. The project operates under the Action "ARISTEIA" - "Education and Lifelong Learning" Programme and is supported by the European Union (European Social Fund-ESF) and by national funds. The candidate is expected to undertake “Research work related with the study of photoactivated fuel cells”. The contract will be for a duration of approximately one year.
 
Expressions of interest can be submitted by applicants meeting the following criteria:
Scientific-training skills: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or in Materials Science with expertise and experience in experimental  procedures of synthesis and characterization of materials.
Specific Experience: Synthesis, characterization and study of nanocrystalline semiconductors. Photocatalytic applications of semiconductors. Study of sensitized solar cells.
Other conditions - criteria:  Good Knowledge of English
 
No restrictions regarding nationality of the candidates will be employed and the  postdoctoral researcher will be selected only on the basis on the skills required to conduct the above mentioned research. However, candidates must hold a PhD degree and will be required to work full-time on the project.

The Research Committee of the University of Patras announces the opening of one position for a post-doctoral researcher to work for the project « Electrochemical Promotion of Catalysis for the hydrogenation of CO2 to valuable fuels and chemicals » (project code 467) with Scientific Responsible Prof. Contstantinos Vayenaς, Department of  Chemical  Engineering, University of Patras. The project operates under the Action "ARISTEIA" - "Education and Lifelong Learning" Programme and is supported by the European Union (European Social Fund-ESF) and by national funds. The candidate is expected to undertake the “Electrochemical Promotion of CO2 Hydrogenation to fuels and valuable chemicals using metal supported catalysts”. The contract will be for a duration of _24 ΜanMonths_.
 
Expressions of interest can be submitted by applicants meeting the following criteria:
 
Scientific-training skills: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in  Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or Material Science with expertise and experience in catalytic and electrocatalytic processes, writing scientific reports and proposals and design and implementation of experimental devices and test systems.
 
Other criteria:  Very good knowledge of English

However, candidates must hold a PhD degree and will be required to work full-time on the project for the whole period he/she will be covered by the contract (ie they should not hold any other post).
