On Friday, May 12 the Department of Chemical Engineering, condacted a Tree Planting Activity in the surrounding areas of our buildings. In the effort we make for the environmental and aesthetic upgrading of the Department, approximately 200 trees and shrubs were planted from voluntary work of the Department's students and staff.
Tree planting is a learning opportunity to get students involved in the environment and conservation of our natural resources. It is a great way to increase student interest in their local environment and it helps building strong relationships and camaraderie with each.
