It is with regret that I inform you of the sudden loss of Professor Emeritus of the Department of Chemical Engineering Stavros Pavlou.
Stavros, in spite of his mobility problems, he served as Chairman of the department and he continuously offered research and administrative work for more than three decades, tirelessly teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
His contribution to the creation and establishment of the Panhellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering was important. On behalf of the department, I express my sincere condolences to his family.
