Visit of the Vice Minister of Education of China and the President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology

On Tuesday, December 10th, the Vice Minister of Education of China, Mr. WANG Guangyan, accompanied by the President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Professor TAN Tianwei, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Education of China and Beijing University of Chemical Technology, visited the Department of Chemical Engineering. This visit took place within the framework of a joint research program between the two universities, as well as the joined foreign-language undergraduate program operating in China, which is supported by the Chemical Engineering Departments of the University of Patras and Liaoning University of Technology.

The delegation was welcomed by the President and members of the Department of Chemical Engineering. A presentation was made on the department and its research activities, followed by discussions between the department’s faculty members and the representatives from Beijing University of Chemical Technology on shared research topics addressed by both institutions.

The delegation was subsequently given a tour of the facilities and research laboratories of the Department of Chemical Engineering.
