We would like to inform you that on 1 December 2025, the official launch of the DigiHeritage project took place. The project is coordinated by the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras, with Emeritus Professor Costas Galiotis serving as Scientific Coordinator.
DigiHeritage is an important European initiative funded by the Erasmus+ programme, bringing together a consortium of 12 partners from 7 European countries, with a total budget of 1.766 million €. The project aims to develop innovative training programmes and advanced digital tools, including AI-assisted digital platforms, blockchain-based provenance systems, and sustainable workflows, to support the next generation of Digital Management in the field of cultural heritage.
As the coordinating institution, the University of Patras will lead the implementation of the project, ensure scientific excellence, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge methodologies that bridge cultural heritage preservation with advanced digital technologies.
