Distinction for Professor Constantine Galiotis – Work award from Academy of Athens

At the ceremonial session which took place at the Academy of Athens on December 23rd 2015, the Academic Prize Pericles S. Theocharis was awarded as the best project in the field of Engineering, to the publication “Curvature dependent surface energy for a free standing monolayer graphene: Some closed from solutions of the non-linear theory” (D. Sfyris, G. I. Sfyris and C. Galiotis, International Journal of Non-Linear Mechanics, 67 (2014), 186-197), funded by Pericles S. Theocharis Institution.

The award as well as the prize money of 2,000 euros had been received by Mr. Dimitris Sfyris who was a postdoctoral researcher at the GSRT Excellence-ERC program (ERC-10) which was the mean to carry out this project..

Many congratulations should be given to our colleague Constantine Galiotis for his special distinction which honors our Department of Chemical Engineering, our University and the Institution of Chemical Engineering (ICEHT/FORTH).
