  • Comprehension of the principles of chemical equilibrium, with application in solutions of electrolytes
  • Extended and in depth study of the ionic equilibriums
  • Calculation of concentrations from equilibrium constants
  • Comprehension of basic concepts of analytical chemistry, which find application in qualitative, as well in quantitative analysis.
  • There are not prerequisite courses.
  • Students should have a basic knowledge of chemistry.
  • Introductory concepts. Solutions. Water as a solvent.
  • Chemical reactions and chemical equilibria.
  • Concentration of solutions.
  • Reaction velocity and chemical equilibrium.
  • Equilibriums of weak acids and weak bases.
  • Ionization of water, pH, protolytic indicators, buffer solutions, hydrolysis.
  • Equilibria of insoluble substances and their ions, solubility product, formation of precipitates.
  • Equilibrium of complex ions.
  • Amphoteric substances.
  • Equilibria of redox systems, galvanic cells.
